Great time at Scrapbookers Cabin!

I signed up for a monthly stamp club at Scrapbookers Cabin in Spruce Grove, yesterday was the first one.  Our teacher Katie was fantastic!  She had no less than 3 projects to do and all three were a hit.  I especially loved  this tri fold card with a fall theme made with apple Emmy.  Our class was supposed  to go till 12.30 we didn't get out of their till after 2.30.  Thanks KATIE!

If anyone is interested in doing this card here is a great tutorial.

Make and Take

I have not been around much the last few weeks.  My Dad had major open heart surgery on July 20th and because I have been the caregiver I have just been to busy to make cards.  I did make two afghans and that is because it was easy to knit sitting at the hospital.  Dad was in for almost three weeks.  So I had lots of time to make the afghans.

This card was made as a make and take at the Scrapbookers Cabin in Spruce Grove.

A new neice!!!!

MY NEW NIECE AIMEE LYNN

On July 7th our family was blessed with a new addition.  I made a card especially for the joyous occasion.  This card was embroidered with sulky 2209, and I cut out a three d image.

It was organize your junk day today!

Today I spend some hours cleaning my bedroom/she room.  It was time to throw out all my extra clothes, especially those I have not worn for ages.  I only threw 4 big bags out.  Then I felt like cleaning and organizing my craft junk.  It looks so much better.  I can not believe the stuff one accumulates.  I have no less than 4 sizzix machines, a big shot and a cuttlebug.  What's up with that.

As I was organizing I found this card I had made last week.  I embroidered the card and used  beads with it.  this was a fun card to make.  I do love the embroidery, I can do that while watching or listening to the tv.

Thanks for looking!

Tilda with hanging cat.

I have liked this stamp from the beginning .  The stamp was purchased from Magnolicious and the paper I used was basic grey Max and Whiskers.  I have fallen in love with the Basic Grey line.  The basic grey paper was purchased at Scrapbook Cabin in Spruce Grove, Alberta, my favorite place to buy paper.  And now that they have doubled the size of the store I am afraid, really afraid for my wallet.

The cat was done in 3d and I cut out some of the other cats to show a little depth.
I used my copics.

Thanks for looking.

Princess Tilda

I have been busy with my cards today and finished two.  This is the first one and I will try to post the other tomorrow.  I have to colour a Tilda for that because the one I used wasn't good enough.

Thanks for looking.

Just a quickie

It has been a busy week in my life.  And today was a down day.  Thought I would sleep in but alas when I came home last nite at 8 pm there was a message on my phone to tell me I had a hair appointment at 9 am.  Why I made that appointment at 9 I don't know because I knew this was a busy week.  I came home from my hair appointment and breakfast at Timmies and went right back to bed.

Well tonite I felt like making a card.  So here is a quickie card.  I scanned it and that is why the flower is out of focus.

Spring Snoesje

It has been a while since I finished a card.  I have been busy trying to learn to colour with copic markers.  And I am not ready to show the world my colouring.  I must say though my inner child is coming back.  I love colouring.  This card was made with stampin up paper, MS doilies and Nellie Snellens flower punches.  I am not crazy with the colours but I had nothing in the vibrant colours.

Thanks for coming!
